As a Senior Project Manager you will play a vital role in managing larger and more complex enterprise projects across organizational lines. The Sr PM will plan, execute, and deliver projects according to strict timelines and within budget using established Space Coast Credit Union policies and procedures. Including acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members, third-party contractors and/or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Sr PM will also define the project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Work at this level may vary in scope from medium to large-sized projects, impact multiple business units, utilize new or multiple technologies, possess an increased level of visibility, impact and risk, and require communication at all levels of the organization.

Senior Project Manager Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope, approach, goals and deliverables for large complex enterprise initiatives that support business goals in collaboration with Senior Management and stakeholders. Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion. Coordinate with project stakeholders throughout the project. Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Lead the projects teams and help them develop the optimal approach for delivering a project, selecting the best methodology, structure, and deliverables.
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary. Where required, negotiate with other managers for the acquisition of required personnel. Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Direct and manage projects from beginning to end. Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle and escalate when necessary. Develop project plans and manage the development of all project artifacts/documentation. Develop and deliver status reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations. Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
  • Identify, assign, track, and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team. Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path, along with scope, risk and resource allocation.
  • Coach, mentor, motivate and lead project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work and deliverables. Support the AVP, PMO in building out the PMO which includes but not limited to creating procedures, work instructions, process mapping, document requirements and being an advocate for project management within Space Coast Credit Union.

Senior Project Manager Requirements

10-15 years of Project Management experience required  planning, executing, and delivering large-scale, complex, and high-risk software development, vendor software products, and infrastructure projects.

Bachelor’s degree required in computer science, engineering, or similar STEM concentration. Very strong work experience may substitute for formal education requirements. MBA\MS a plus. PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is highly preferred. Lean/Sigma certification preferred.

Senior Project Manager Compensation

$131,940.00 - 139,734.00
