Job description

Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a customer-facing Sr Project Manager reporting to the Senior Manager of Implementation: US remote opportunity.
As the selected candidate, you will successfully manage multiple customer software implementation projects and programs across the Americas through effective planning, scheduling and controlling, and mentor junior Project Managers. Travel is expected, both between company offices globally, as well as to various customer locations.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Project Management and Program Management: Applies project/program management and customer guiding experience while learning and adapting to Jeppesen's best practices framework to deliver project goals.
  • Schedule Management: Create and maintain project and program schedules by identifying and monitoring: overall project timeline, project milestones, tasks, deliverables, customer requirements, task dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Cross Functional Leadership: Provides leadership, direction and integrates activities with other departments, Boeing and Jeppesen vendors, and partners to ensure successful implementation and support. Facilitation, roll out and continuous improvement of PM best practices and mentoring of junior Project Managers
  • Issue / Risk Management: Anticipates and identifies Risks and Issues that may impact implementation and develops and implements mitigation and corrective actions.
  • Scope: Ensures projects remains focused on key objectives and goals. Develop and manage expectations ensuring all applicable functional areas in Boeing and Jeppesen are engaged on the project.
  • Communication Management: Using a variety of media, clearly conveys information and ideas to internal and external stakeholders in a manner that engages the audience and helps them understand and retain the message.
  • Change Management: Ensure proper change management procedures are followed to ensure scope is managed and additional work is captured and appropriately billed to customer.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 10+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years project management experience
  • 5+ years of customer / client facing experience
  • Ability to travel 20-40% of the time
  • Spanish fluency is a requirement

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
  • Experience managing complex technical software implementation projects to external customers
  • Strong business acumen and relationship skills needed to build partnerships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
  • Aviation industry expertise, ideally in the area of crew management solutions
  • Experience applying Scrum and Agile principles to improve project delivery
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project; Primavera experience a plus
  • Multilingualism is an asset (French etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well market and business considerations: Summary Pay Range: $122,000.00-$150,000.00
