Department- Elevate Jet

Summary of position-

This Aviation Maintenance Technician is an onsite position supporting a Challenger 605 based at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. As the dedicated mechanic for this aircraft, you will need to be present for all aircraft departures and arrivals and will be responsible for serving as the primary point of contact for flight crew debriefs, perform service checks, preventative maintenance, and work with Production Control to coordinate scheduled inspections and line maintenance.

When not actively supporting the aircraft, you will contribute to maintenance control functions in support of the broader Elevate Jet fleet. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, professionalism, and technical expertise across the Challenger platform.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities-

Aircraft Dedication

  • Be present at the aircraft for all scheduled departures and arrivals.
  • Conduct thorough debriefs with flight crews following each flight to capture any discrepancies, squawks, or maintenance observations.
  • Perform and document weekly and monthly scheduled inspections in accordance with the manufacturer's maintenance manual and applicable FAA regulations.
  • Take lead on managing and resolving AOG maintenance events in a timely manner up to and including being on-call after hours, parts sourcing, and travel for AOG recovery to support operational availability of the aircraft
  • On-Site MRO support during major inspections.
  • Use only approved parts, materials, and tools; fully document all spare parts and materials utilized.
  • Ensure the aircraft is maintained in an airworthy condition at all times, in compliance with FAA Parts 43, 65, 145, and all applicable regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly work environment and control foreign object debris (FOD) potential.

Maintenance Control

  • Support maintenance control operations for the Elevate Jet managed fleet when not actively engaged in aircraft-specific duties.
  • Coordinate with other MRO technicians, vendors, and operators to track and resolve open maintenance items across the fleet.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all work performed, parts used, and maintenance statuses.
  • Participate actively in company training and continuous improvement programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities-

  • 5โ€“10 years of documented aircraft inspection, maintenance, and repair experience as an FAA A&P technician.
  • Minimum two (2) years of practical inspection and maintenance experience on the Challenger series; Challenger 604/605 strongly preferred.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations as they relate to aircraft inspection, maintenance, parts control, and return to service.
  • Ability to interpret and execute manufacturer maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives independently.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with flight crews, operators, and management.
  • Basic project management skills; able to drive tasks through to completion and provide timely updates to management and customers.
  • Experience supporting maintenance control or fleet coordination functions is a plus.

Education & Experience-

  • Valid and current FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate required.
  • Formal factory maintenance training on the Challenger 604/605 or equivalent documented experience is strongly preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English.

Schedule & Travel-

  • Schedule is driven by aircraft operations and customer requirements, nights, weekends, and holidays, may be required to support the client.
  • Must be available to report to the aircraft for all departures and arrivals, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as the operation demands.
  • Travel is required and may include multi-day domestic and/or international on-site customer support trips for AOG and heavy maintenance events.
