Radiant Spirit Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our supportive team in providing top-tier mental health services. • Conduct initial assessments, including preliminary interviews and comprehensive evaluations, to determine clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, tailoring interventions for diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to promote healing and personal growth.
• Continuously monitor clients' progress throughout the treatment process, adapting approaches as needed to ensure progress toward recovery goals.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of mental health professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to create integrated intervention plans.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to track treatment progress and government regulations compliance.
• Provide education and resources to clients and their families, helping them to understand and manage complex mental health challenges.
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and work proactively to overcome them, enhancing clients' chances for successful mental health outcomes.

You will work with clients facing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. Our diverse clientele includes individuals from various backgrounds and age groups, allowing for an enriching counseling experience. This role also entails engaging with family members and caregivers to provide holistic support and education, ensuring that clients receive well-rounded care.

• A Master's or Doctoral Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Proven experience working as a mental health counselor, with demonstrated effectiveness in therapy approaches.
• Strong proficiency in managing electronic health records, particularly with systems like AVATAR.
• Thorough understanding of physical and emotional health conditions and addiction disorders.
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on empathetic listening.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate demeanor, essential for building client relationships.

• Prior experience in a clinical or outpatient mental health setting.
• Proficiency in various therapeutic modalities and techniques, with a particular interest in evidence-based practices.
• Experience working with families and groups, helping to address systemic issues impacting mental health.
