Job description

GCA is seeking an AV/VTC Engineer to support our contract with the U.S. Army TRADOC VTC/AV Support Services program. The Engineer will assist the Lead Engineer with the installation, operation, integration, and troubleshooting of AV/VTC and networking equipment.
Duties to include:
  • Install, pull, terminate, and test audio-visual (AV) cables, connectors, and interfaces
  • Install projection screens, plasma displays/TVs, and various types of speakers
  • Install and integrate AV/VTC systems at client sites
  • Read blueprints and wire AV/VTC equipment racks
  • Manage AV/VTC projects involving various makes and models of equipment
  • Demonstrate knowledge of wire types and connector standards used in AV/VTC systems
Requirements
  • Experience operating and troubleshooting HP networking equipment (switches)
  • Expert-level knowledge of AV and VTC equipment integration, operation, and compatibility
  • Thorough understanding of testing, analysis, and corrective action for systems, networks, hardware, and software in a professional AV/VTC environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Visio
  • Active Secret clearance
  • IAT Level I Certification (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, or higher)
