Position: SIP/VoIP Software Engineer

Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)

Duration: Long term contract

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong expertise in SIP and VoIP technologies. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in developing and working with SIP-based applications, SIP stacks, and voice communication systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain SIP-based applications and VoIP systems
  • Work on SIP protocol implementation, debugging, and optimization
  • Develop and integrate SIP stack and SIP User Agent (SIPUA) components
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance voice communication platforms
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VoIP and SIP signaling
  • Work with FreeSWITCH for call routing and voice applications
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability of systems

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience in SIP (Session Initiation Protocol)
  • Hands-on experience with Voice / VoIP / SIP technologies
  • Experience working with SIP Stack and SIPUA
  • Proficiency in C / C++ programming
  • Experience with FreeSWITCH
  • Solid debugging and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with SIP Media Gateways
  • Knowledge of Session Border Controllers (SBCs)
