Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced AV and IT Commissioning Engineer to join our team. Do you think you have what it takes?
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both audiovisual and information technology systems, with a proven track record of successfully commissioning complex projects. The AV and IT Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all AV and IT systems are properly installed, configured, and tested to meet client requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and technicians to develop commissioning plans and schedules for AV and IT systems.
• Conduct site visits and inspections to verify that all AV and IT systems are installed according to design specifications and industry standards.
• Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of AV and IT systems to identify and resolve any issues.
• Configure and program AV and IT equipment, including control systems, audio processors, video processors, and network switches.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of all commissioning activities, including test results, system configurations, and user manuals.
• Train clients on the operation and maintenance of AV and IT systems.
• Provide technical support and assistance to project teams during the installation and integration of AV and IT systems.
• Stay current on industry trends and advancements in AV and IT technology to make recommendations for system improvements and upgrades.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in commissioning AV and IT systems.
  • Strong knowledge of AV and IT system design, installation, and integration.
  • Certification and experience with programming control systems, such as Q-Sys, Crestron, Extron, and AMX.
  • Certification and proficiency in network configuration. (CompTIA Network+, Avixa ANP, NETGEAR, Cisco, Aruba Networking)
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation, and ability to deliver as a team member.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed.
