Job description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy in accordance with dealership and factory standards
  • Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair
  • Complete MPI Inspection report and send findings to the service advisor
  • Executes the service SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) at all times.
  • Utilizes AutoPoint and keeps all repair orders up to date and strives to maintain at least two recommendations per vehicle.
  • Utilize AutoPoint to communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts
  • Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
  • Notify the service advisor immediately if additional work outlined is not needed or required
  • Notify the service advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised
  • Document work performed
  • Road-test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician
  • Keep abreast of factory technical bulletins
  • Ensure that customer vehicles are kept clean
  • Keep shop area neat and clean and be able to account for all dealership-owned tools at all times
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes
  • Must follow all company safety policies and procedures and immediately report any accidents to a manager or supervisor

Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
  • 18 years of age or older.
  • Diesel Engine repair training or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds with or without assistance.
  • Follow safety policies and procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment necessary for the job in a safe manner.
  • ASE certification is preferred
  • Automotive Technician Experience Required
  • Proven Fixed Right Survey Scores
