Position Overview

We are seeking an Integration and Validation Engineer to join our autonomous haul truck team, fully on-site in Tucson, AZ. In this 1st shift role, you will create and execute test and validation plans for autonomous haul truck systems, troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and software issues, and work closely with onsite expert operators and software development teams in Peoria to drive system performance and reliability. You will gain hands-on experience with large machines in real-world environments, developing deep expertise in autonomy systems, hardware, software, and customer usage.

Key Contributions & Responsibilities

Create and update test and development plans for autonomous haul truck testing.

Execute on-machine testing on autonomous haul trucks to validate system functionality and reliability.

Analyze test data to derive insights and drive improvements in system performance.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues encountered during autonomous truck testing.

Thoroughly document and communicate issues found during testing; write test reports and provide recommendations based on testing experience.

Interface with software development teams to align technical requirements and communicate field findings; interact with end customers to understand their needs and feedback.

Team Structure & Work Environment

You will be part of a 31-member team, with frequent day-to-day interaction with onsite expert operators and regular virtual collaboration with software developers in Peoria via Microsoft Teams. Collaboration occurs through in-person and virtual meetings, email, and instant messaging.

The work site is located in a remote building on the property. The environment is hot, dry, and dusty - comparable to working in mining applications. This role requires the ability and willingness to frequently ascend and descend large machines while carrying a backpack.

This is a fully on-site, 1st shift role in Tucson, AZ.
