Job description

As a Traffic Modeling System Engineer or Missile Tracking System Engineer for the US Space Force Space Development Agency (SDA) Ground, Management and Integration (GMI) program, you will be a key member of a cross-functional team responsible for developing and deploying state-of-the-art ground operational systems for the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture (PWSA). You will be part of an elite team providing the evolution, expansion, integration, testing and maintenance of the ground entry points, operations centers, enterprise test and checkout capabilities and infrastructure management, including all development, systems engineering, integration, testing, maintenance, and site support. Key Responsibilities
Systems engineering that includes decomposing requirements into modeling of the traffic data flow from a satellite constellation to the ground network
Pre-planned or ad-hoc scheduling and satellite services to track missiles
Analysis of missile tracking data to validate the traffic model
Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation
Analysis and fusion of missile tracking data provided by satellite to the ground for processing and rapidly providing and disseminating the information Technical Skills
Prefer recent modeling of communication data, preferably using satellite constellations and ground networks
Prefer recent Satellite to Ground RF communication protocol experience, end to end packet prioritization and routing, or traffic modeling experience
Prefer recent designing and developing systems that can solve complex problems using algorithms
Prefer recent algorithm development usinf Matlab or Python and tuning for specific mission parameters EDUCATION
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Agile experience preferred.
