Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Automotive Test Automation & HIL Integration Engineer to develop, integrate, and deploy advanced test automation solutions used to validate next-generation vehicle systems and features.

This role is ideal for engineers with strong experience in LabVIEW, TestStand, HIL systems, automotive communication protocols, and automated validation environments. You will work closely with validation, systems, integration, and quality teams to build and maintain test infrastructure supporting complex automotive products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and integrate automated test solutions for automotive systems.
  • Develop and maintain Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), system integration, validation, and calibration test benches.
  • Build and support automated test frameworks using LabVIEW, TestStand, Python, C++, and CAPL.
  • Integrate hardware and software components into validation environments.
  • Develop vehicle network simulation and test automation solutions.
  • Support deployment, troubleshooting, and maintenance of test benches and validation setups.
  • Manage hardware procurement, inventory, and configuration activities.
  • Create technical documentation, validation reports, and automation plans.
  • Collaborate with validation, systems engineering, software, and quality teams to ensure successful product testing and release.
  • Support continuous improvement of test automation tools and infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive test automation, validation, HIL integration, or test systems engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
  • LabVIEW
  • NI TestStand
  • Python, C++, CAPL, or similar programming languages
  • Experience with automotive communication protocols:
  • CAN
  • LIN
  • Automotive Ethernet
  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking and Ethernet-based communication.
  • Experience developing, integrating, or supporting automated test systems and validation benches.
  • Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills for both hardware and software systems.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Vector CANoe and CANalyzer.
  • Experience with dSPACE, NI PXI, or similar HIL platforms.
  • Automotive ADAS, camera, sensor, or vehicle validation experience.
  • Linux operating system experience.
  • Knowledge of RF testing and wireless communication systems.
  • Experience with image processing, video pipelines, or computer vision systems.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD, continuous testing, or automated validation environments.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking engineers who enjoy building and improving test systems—not just executing tests. The ideal candidate is proactive, technically curious, and passionate about developing automation solutions that improve product quality and accelerate validation activities.

Keywords: LabVIEW, TestStand, HIL, Hardware-in-the-Loop, CANoe, CAN, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, Python, CAPL, Validation, Test Automation, Vehicle Integration, ADAS, Systems Validation, NI PXI, dSPACE.
