Job description

We are seeking a Connected Vehicle / OTA Validation Engineer with strong expertise in ECU communication, OTA updates, and embedded platform validation. The candidate will be responsible for validating software and firmware updates across vehicle ECUs, troubleshooting communication issues, and ensuring reliable integration between vehicle systems and cloud platforms.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with TCU, IVI, HPC, and Zonal Control Units, along with strong knowledge of automotive communication protocols, OTA workflows, Subsystem Validation, HIL validation, and embedded operating systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Validate and debug automotive ECUs including TCU, IVI, HPC, and Zonal Control Units.
• Execute Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) and Software/Application Over-the-Air (SOTA/AOTA) update validation.
• Perform end-to-end validation of OTA update workflows on subsystem HIL benches, validating the complete update lifecycle from cloud backend services through TCU communication to target ECUs, including package delivery, delta package verification, ECU flashing, reboot orchestration, network diagnostics, and post-update functional validation.
• Analyze and debug vehicle communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, UDS, MQTT, SOME/IP, and DoIP.
• Perform ECU flashing and software deployment using HIL benches.
• Configure and validate vehicle communication networks, especially for TCU systems.
• Conduct cloud-side validation testing and API testing for OTA services.
• Generate delta packages for OTA updates using Linux environments.
• Debug issues across vehicle ECUs, HIL environments, and cloud platforms.
• Experience with FOTA / SOTA OTA update workflows
• Hands-on experience with QNX, Linux, and Android Automotive.
• Strong knowledge of Linux commands and shell environment.
• Experience creating OTA delta update packages
Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
• Electronics Engineering
• Computer Engineering
• Automotive Engineering
