Overview
The Service Cashier is a key customer-facing role responsible for finalizing service transactions and ensuring a smooth, positive checkout experience for our service customers. This position supports the service department by accurately processing payments, coordinating with service advisors, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction in line with Bob Howard Acura's standards.
Responsibilities
  • Always maintain confidentiality of company and customer information
  • Inspect service repair orders and parts invoices for accuracy and completeness
  • Reconcile repair orders and ensure proper documentation
  • Calculate charges for materials, labor, taxes, and warranty as applicable
  • Collect payments (cash, check, or authorized charge) and provide receipts/change
  • Document charge purchases per office policies
  • Complete accounting sections of repair orders as directed
  • Accumulate and submit all closed repair orders and invoices daily
  • Handle and account for daily cash transactions
  • Return customer keys upon payment and direct them to their vehicles
  • Answer service department calls, transfer appropriately, and take messages when needed
