Job description

SUMMARY

Responsible for creating, documenting, developing all APQP documents relating to new product launches and training the operational groups to secure a successful PPAP and launch of all new programs for our Kendallc.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead all APQP functions as it relates to new programs culminating in successful launch of said programs.
  • Assist in developing and training all operational groups of processes and requirements that relate to the launch of new programs.
  • Understand, communicate and train all operational personnel on customer specific requirements.
  • Lead / participate in corrective action audits and problem solving teams to support Continuous Improvements to meet performance criteria once a new program is launched.
  • Perform Process Capabilities and measurement studies using statistical techniques as necessary to support new program launch and GDT requirements.
  • Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to support quality, cost and customer expectations.
  • Familiar with customer specific Quality System requirements
  • Responsibility to act as liaison with external parties (customer & supplier) on matters relating to new program requirements.
  • Assist in training of new Quality group associates as needed.
  • Must be an integral part of the Program Management Launch team.
  • Support IATF and ISO 14001 requirements..
  • Audit vendor PPAP’s production materials.
  • Read and Interpret GD & T
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
