Job Title: Project Engineer

Location: Sunnyvale, CA

Job Description:

Lean Practices, Six Sigma, Project Coordination, Artificial Intelligence Systems Knowledge, Mechanical Engineering, Cross Functional Team work, GD&T, PMP

Essential Responsibilities                

  • Communicate and hold suppliers accountable for loss time activities.
  • Identify and execute Lean and Six Sigma projects for assigned areas.
  • Ability to update Layouts per CAD, CREO, Pro-E files where applicable.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and help execute equipment qualifications per the Matrix output.
  • Coordinate targeted operational deficiency data gathering per field follow schedule.
  • Identify Tooling updates where applicable to Industry best practices and technology.
  • Develop Tooling for Jigs and Fixtures where applicable to Industry best practices and technology.
  • Support and implement new purchased equipment and maintain budget constraints,
  • Provides daily and weekly operational updates and initiatives.
  • Support and help implement process improvements.
  • Support on Kaizen and other initiatives and target Shop-floor practice updates.
  • Review and capture In-Process Validation Steps being utilized and identify cycle time's associated.
  • Provide process improvements concepts to the In-Process Validation Steps with current technologies.
  • Work and coordinate with cross functional team members.
  • Use AI tools to support workflow in industrial applications.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • B.S in Engineering, Technical Practice, or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering, quality, or Production and Manufacturing Operations in an Automotive or related industry.
  • Ability to support the development and execution of continues improvement initiatives.
  • Has knowledge of Quality Control, manufacturing processes, and production systems.
  • Is a self starter and can execute assigned projects with minimal supervision.
