Job description

Overview

Group 1 Automotive is growing fast and seeking a Service Advisor to join our high-performing team! Our Service Advisors serve as a key point of contact for customers, helping guide them through their service experience with clarity and care. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in building trust, communicates effectively, and thrives in a team-driven environment that values both its employees and its customers.

*Must be willing to work Saturdays


Responsibilities

  • Schedule, confirm, and manage service appointments to ensure an efficient and seamless customer experience
  • Greet customers, perform vehicle walkarounds, and accurately document concerns and service needs
  • Create detailed repair orders with clear, transparent cost and time estimates
  • Recommend maintenance and additional services based on vehicle condition, mileage, and manufacturer guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with technicians and parts departments to prioritize work and ensure timely completion
  • Provide consistent updates to customers on repair status, timelines, and any changes to scope or cost
  • Deliver vehicles upon completion, reviewing work performed and ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strong product and warranty knowledge to confidently guide customers through service recommendations
  • Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to drive retention and repeat business

Qualifications

  • Previous customer-facing sales experience is required (retail, outside sales, hospitality, etc.)
  • Automotive Service Advisor experience is a big plus (dealership preferred)
  • Xtime & CDK experience is a plus
  • Strong desire to provide an exceptional customer experience
  • Ability to achieve targeted goals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid in-state driver’s license and must maintain an acceptable, safe driving record
