Job description

CAPITAL is seeking a skilled and efficient Automotive Express Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong vehicle maintenance background and be able to perform quick and accurate services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and basic vehicle inspections. The Automotive Express Technician plays a crucial role in providing prompt and quality service to our customers.

Automotive Express Technician Responsibilities: 

  • Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements
  • Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify any potential issues
  • Mount, balance, and rotate tires as needed
  • Inspect tire tread depth and recommend replacements when necessary
  • Replace air filters, cabin air filters, and fuel filters based on manufacturer recommendations
  • Test vehicle batteries and replace as necessary
  • Advise customers on brake services and replacements as needed
  • Document all services performed accurately and maintain service records
  • Inspect brake systems for wear and tear
  • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Other duties assigned   

Automotive Express Technician Requirements: 

  • Previous experience as a technician, particularly in quick service or express maintenance, is preferred
  • Proficient in performing routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes and tire services
  • ASE certification or relevant certifications in automotive maintenance is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with vehicle owners
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other technicians, service advisors, and support staff
  • Ability to identify and address basic automotive issues during inspections
  • Valid driverโ€™s license 
  • Must pass pre-employment background screenings
