Job Title: Accounting Manager

About DSD:
Dealer Solutions and Design is a leading provider of innovative solutions for automotive fixed operations design and development across the country. We specialize in delivering tailored designs and consultative services that enhance fixed operations flow, throughput, longevity, and profitability. Our primary focus is to serve dealer clients with a white-glove approach and guide them through the decision-making process as they build, renovate, or expand automotive fixed-operations facilities. We are seeking a motivated accounting manager to join our dynamic team.

Job Overview:

The Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the accounting department, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining internal controls, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. This role supervises accounting staff, provides leadership within the accounting department, improves accounting systems/processes, and creates efficiency initiatives. This role will also support certain accounting areas for the parent company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee daily accounting operations
  • Perform month-end closing processes
  • Prepare monthly accounting and reporting package at established deadlines
  • Perform check runs and initiate ACH transactions
  • Ensure proper submittal of monthly sales tax returns (multiple states)
  • Monthly reconciliation
  • Oversee AP and AR activities
  • Supervise, develop, and mentor accounting team members
  • Prepare financial statements and management reports
  • Assist with audit requests
  • Monitor cash flow and financial performance metrics
  • Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Perform journal entries (payroll accrual, balance sheet adjustments)
  • Review certain balance sheet and income statement accounts for Safe-Guard
