Providing service and support to our Shipyard customers, the Field Service Engineer will be heavily involved in dynamic projects while aboard vessels, assessing PAR products for engineering resolutions for installation, system repairs, problems, or configuration changes. From custom designed elevators and lifts to hydraulic systems, the work you do will ensure the safety of service members around the world.
As our Field Service Engineer, you'll be the go-to expert managing technical, quality, and business aspects of a project. Whether you're installing a new system or making repairs, you're the dependable expert who gets the job done. Leading with confidence and engineering expertise to discover the root cause of a problem and implement the best solution to get machinery fully operational and ready to sail the seven seas.

Customers will rely on your extensive experience to conduct on-site inspections, warranty service, and on-the-fly engineering problem solving. Our Field Service Engineer doesn't just show up with tools-they also bring both technical mastery and a personal touch to the table. Often working alongside the customer to coordinate personal, equipment and information essential to servicing the complex machinery and ensuring a positive customer experience.
Diving right into the work the Field Service Engineer fearlessly navigates complexities of the installation or repair work, making real-time decisions conducting failure analysis, and guiding local craftsmen on project needs that keep the project moving forward. Masterfully managing their projects by reviewing work orders, staying on budget, and maintaining a schedule. All with a wrench in-hand.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field

  • Expertise in Mechanical, Electrical, And Hydraulic Systems within the shipbuilding industry
  • Strong ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings and work order specifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, Outlook and Project
