Job description

Automotive Electrical Technician

Job Summary:

The role of the Automotive Electrician is to perform a wide range of service work related to the customization of vehicles for pursuit vehicles.  Technicians must be familiar with emergency vehicle lighting systems and related first-responder equipment.

Job Duties:

- Perform quality installations of emergency lighting and accessories on all makes and model vehicles.

- Installation and assembly of after-market equipment and accessories, meeting allotted time requirements

- Performs wiring of emergency lights, camera systems, partitions, push bumpers, and miscellaneous accessory components

- Troubleshooting electronic, interior, exterior and mechanical systems

- Follows manufacturer’s specifications for installation of components and equipment

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment

- Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks as needed

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring customer satisfaction

Experience & Requirements:

- Strong electrical & mechanical background – 2 years of experience

- EVT certification not required but is a plus

- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks

- Ability to communicate well with others

- Prior experience in the automotive equipment or similar industry preferred

- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
