About the Role:
Midway Automotive Corp is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Automotive Service Writer to join our team in Abington, MA! This is your opportunity to be the vital link between our valued customers and our skilled technicians, ensuring every vehicle gets the care it deserves. Responsibilities:
  • Greet customers and conduct vehicle walkarounds to assess service needs and document concerns
  • Write accurate and detailed repair orders and service estimates
  • Communicate repair recommendations, timelines, and costs clearly to customers
  • Coordinate workflow between customers and service technicians to ensure timely vehicle completion
  • Follow up with customers on vehicle status updates and obtain approvals for additional repairs
  • Upsell recommended maintenance services and manufacturer-suggested repairs
  • Process invoices, payments, and warranty claims accurately upon vehicle delivery
Requirements:
  • Prior experience as a Service Advisor, Service Writer, or in a customer-facing automotive role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, maintenance schedules, and repair terminology
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage a high-volume service drive efficiently
  • Experience with automotive service software (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds) is a plus
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Team-oriented, professional, and detail-driven mindset
