Job description

We exist to create positive change for people and the planet. Join us and make a difference too!
Enterprise Business Development Manager - Pharmaceutical
Location: Homebased, USA
About the role
We are looking for an Enterprise Business Development Manager - Pharma & Life Sciences to join BSI's Global Key Accounts team.
This is a strategic new business role focused on identifying, engaging and developing relationships with some of the world's leading pharmaceutical, biotechnology, medical device and life sciences organisations.
Acting as a true "enterprise hunter", you will be responsible for opening new doors, creating opportunities from the ground up and positioning BSI as a trusted partner to organisations navigating increasingly complex challenges across quality, regulatory compliance, risk, sustainability and operational resilience.
Unlike traditional account management roles, success here comes from creating opportunities rather than inheriting them - identifying new clients, building senior relationships, and developing strategic conversations that unlock long-term enterprise partnerships.
You will work globally across BSI's full portfolio, partnering with internal experts to create solutions that help clients address their biggest business challenges.
Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, target and engage new enterprise clients across the Pharma and Life Sciences sector.
  • Build a strong pipeline of strategic opportunities aligned to BSI's global growth priorities.
  • Develop relationships with senior stakeholders including VP, SVP and C-suite decision makers.
  • Use market insight and sector expertise to identify client challenges and create value-led conversations.
  • Open new buying centres within complex global organisations.
  • Develop targeted account pursuit strategies to create long-term enterprise relationships.
  • Position BSI's full portfolio of solutions across Consulting, Assurance, Regulatory and Training.
  • Partner with technical experts and commercial teams to create compelling client propositions.
  • Manage opportunities through CRM, ensuring strong pipeline discipline and visibility.
  • Collaborate across regions, sectors and divisions to support coordinated global growth.
What we're looking for
Essential
  • Significant experience in enterprise business development, strategic sales or new logo acquisition.
  • Proven success creating opportunities and building pipeline from scratch.
  • Experience selling complex solutions into large multinational organisations.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise buying processes and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
  • Ability to engage senior executives and create strategic business conversations.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience developing value-based propositions.
  • Experience operating within a global or matrix organisation.
  • Resilient, proactive and motivated by creating new opportunities.
Highly desirable
  • Strong experience selling into the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, Medical Device or Life Sciences sector.
  • Understanding of sector challenges including quality, regulatory requirements, supply chain resilience, compliance or operational risk.
  • Experience selling consulting, assurance, certification, regulatory or professional services.
  • Existing senior-level relationships within Pharma/Life Sciences organisations.

Salary Range:
US = $102,000 - $127,500 + Commission
The advertised salary range reflects the level, scope and responsibilities of the role. Starting salary within that range will be determined based on experience, skills, market considerations and alignment with internal equity principles.
