Automation Integration Developer

Position Summary

The Automation Integration Developer supports ongoing development, automation, integration, and maintenance of our internal business applications and systems.

This role works directly with business stakeholders to understand operational needs and translate business requirements into effective technical solutions using modern business platforms, AI-powered development tools, custom code, and APIs. The position focuses on solutions to reduce manual work, improve data accuracy, and develop reliable, sustainable systems that support continued growth.

Work Location: In-Person
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM4:00 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time, Year-Round

Current Initiatives

  • CRM & Scope of Work: Automating contract and scope of work generation using Monday.com.
  • Accounts Payable: Automating purchasing workflows and vendor payables with QuickBooks integration.
  • Website & SEO: Maintaining website functionality, content, and SEO performance.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Solution Design

  • Work directly with stakeholders to understand business requirements, processes, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate business needs into technical solutions, workflows, and actionable development tasks.
  • Evaluate technical solutions and develop applications that are reliable, maintainable, and practical for daily business use.
  • Communicate technical concepts and recommendations clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Software Development & Integration

  • Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain business applications and automated workflows.
  • Develop integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, authentication, JSON, and data transformation.
  • Develop custom functionality using JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Troubleshoot application issues, integration failures, and data inconsistencies.
  • Work with databases and structured data.

AI & Automation

  • Develop automated workflows using AI, APIs, application platforms, and custom code.
  • Integrate AI/LLM technologies into business applications and workflows.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional experience in software development, application development, automation development, or a related technical field.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
  • Experience developing web-based or business applications.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs and third-party system integrations.
  • Experience with webhooks, API authentication, JSON, and data transformation.
  • Experience with AI/LLM technologies and AI-powered applications or workflows.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to independently research technical problems and develop solutions.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and adapt as priorities evolve.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Node.js and/or React.
  • Experience with Pipedream, Zapier, Make, or similar automation platforms.
  • Experience developing AI-powered business applications.
