At Armavel, we believe the best solutions come from curious minds working together to solve hard problems. We’re a people-first team focused on delivering meaningful impact for our federal customers and we’re looking for an Automation Integration Developer who’s excited to turn complex, manual processes into scalable, modern solutions. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, translating IT and cybersecurity needs into architectural patterns, design standards, and best practices that drive real, measurable outcomes for the VA.

In this role, you’ll work at the intersection of automation, data, and emerging AI/ML capabilities to help the Department of Veterans Affairs improve efficiency, reduce risk, and accelerate delivery. You’ll have the opportunity to bring ideas to life, applying both proven automation technique and evolving AI-driven approaches to real-world challenges.

What you’ll be Doing:

  • Work with delivery leads, engineers, and stakeholders to design and implement automations using AI-enabled solutions within a Federal environment.
  • Analyze existing manual processes, SOPs, reports, and data sets to identify automation and intelligent augmentation opportunities.
  • Develop end-to-end automation workflows using Power Automate, Office Scripts, PowerShell, Python, and emerging AI/ML capabilities.
  • Translate customer needs into technical solutions, architectural patterns, and repeatable design standards that support cybersecurity automation.
  • Perform data and system integrations between SaaS products and develop plans for system integration in collaboration with other developers.
  • Evaluate data quality and perform necessary data transformation and cleansing to enable automated and AI-assisted processes.
  • Act as a technical advisor and collaborator, helping bridge customer needs with engineering solutions.
  • Become familiar with the customer's technical environment and serve as a central point of contact between the agency and internal technical resources, maintaining access to customer sites as new solutions enter the environment.
  • Continuously experiment with and bring forward new ideas that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort, and unlock new capabilities.

What you Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years relevant work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in system analysis, data extraction, and integration planning.
  • Hands-on experience automating processes involving Excel, PDFs, and structured/unstructured data using Power Automate, Office Scripts, PowerShell, and Python scripting.
  • Experience performing data and system integrations between SaaS products.
  • Experience with the IRM/GRC/Audit modules in ServiceNow to include engagements and evidence collection.
  • Strong ability to analyze workflows and design automation strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical ideas.
  • A collaborative mindset and a genuine curiosity to learn and improve.
  • U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Nice to Have:

  • Advanced knowledge of SQL (table optimization, stored procedures).
  • Experience applying AI/ML techniques to automation or data workflows (e.g., NLP, intelligent document processing, anomaly detection).
  • Familiarity with DataBricks.
  • Experience guiding workstreams or mentoring team members.
  • Experience working within the VA or other federal agencies.

Why Armavel:

  • People-first culture: We invest in each other’s growth and create space for curiosity and new ideas.
  • Solve meaningful problems: Your work directly impacts service to Veterans.
