Job description

Dynamic Devices develops advanced liquid handling laboratory automation workstations for the life sciences and clinical/diagnostic sectors. Our systems help researchers and laboratory teams improve efficiency, reliability, and workflow performance through flexible automation solutions.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to support commercial activities across Europe. This requires a high level of independence, strong technical and customer-facing skills, and close collaboration with internal teams. The ideal candidate will be based in Switzerland, preferably within practical reach of our Yverdon-les-Bains office.

This location would allow for closer collaboration with our Applications and Service team and make it easier to host customers for demonstrations when appropriate. The role also requires regular travel to customer sites across Europe, including the UK.

Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement: Engage with prospective and existing customers to understand their workflows, technical requirements, and application needs.
  • Product Demonstrations: Deliver product presentations and demonstrations, both remotely and in person, tailored to customer requirements.
  • Customer Visits: Host customer visits and support demonstration activities, including at the Yverdon-les-Bains office when needed.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, applications, and service teams to support regional business development activities.
  • Solution Development: Evaluate customer projects and recommend solutions aligned with their scientific, operational, and technical needs.
  • Customer Feedback: Gather and communicate customer feedback to internal stakeholders to support ongoing product and workflow improvements.
  • Travel: Travel throughout Europe and the UK to support customer meetings, demonstrations, evaluations, and relationship development.
Qualifications
  • Technical and Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand customer workflows and translate them into practical technical solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. French and/or German is a strong asset.
  • Travel Readiness: Willingness and ability to travel regularly throughout Europe and the UK.
  • Customer-Facing Confidence: Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in technical discussions and product demonstrations.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally with commercial, applications, and service teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Industry Experience: Previous experience in life sciences, laboratory automation, or a related technical commercial role is highly desirable.
  • Location: Based in Switzerland, ideally within convenient travel distance of Yverdon-les-Bains.
  • Languages: In addition to English, French and/or German language skills would be advantageous.
  • Education: BS/BA in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field preferred, though not required.
