Job description

Key Accountabilities and Process Improvement

  • Participate in actions and solutions to improve process control, reduce energy costs, and improve quality.
  • Participate in actions and solutions to improve equipment monitoring and energy monitoring.
  • Participate in plant audits related to Omya 4.0, energy, instrumentation, and power.
  • Investigate new technology to improve plant safety (Intelligent PPE, improved alarming, etc.).

Knowledge Sharing & Expertise

  • Support CCs in developing budgets, Project Charters, and mentoring (Energy CC, Instrumentation CC, Power CC, Omya 4.0 CC).
  • Provide support to the GOP Engineering team.
  • Responsible for know‑how transfer, best practices, and supporting the development of group standards and guidelines.
  • Support UNO initiatives with process and automation teams.

Environmental Health & Safety

  • Act in accordance with safety and environmental regulations.

Reporting Structure

  • Solid line to Head of Engineering, Machines & Maintenance Group Operations.
  • Dotted lines to: number of direct reports, total reports, and dotted line reports.
  • Performance measures: KPIs agreed in yearly MBO.

Other Requirements

  • Good command of local language and English (additional languages beneficial).
  • Travel required to regions, plants, supplier sites.
  • Confident in international settings.

  • Project management, Engineering and Process & Machine Technology departments.
  • All GOP Competence Centers, regions and plants worldwide.
  • Group IT.
  • External engineering firms, equipment suppliers.

Education

  • University degree in Electrical and/or Automation Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in electrical and/or automation engineering field.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Ability to improve processes and systems to enhance performance of the job area.
  • Strong working knowledge across all engineering fields with emphasis on electrical.
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Good communication skills.
