Job description

Responsibilities

  • Support capital projects from concept through execution, including requirements gathering, vendor coordination, and project delivery
  • Provide technical leadership in PLC programming, HMI systems, and automation standards
  • Develop and maintain automation documentation, including electrical diagrams, P&IDs, and control logic
  • Support process data collection, reporting systems, and dashboards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within scope and budget
  • Troubleshoot and optimize automation systems to improve reliability and performance
  • Mentor team members and support continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field preferred)
  • 7–10 years of experience in automation within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong experience with PLC programming (Allen-Bradley preferred)
  • Experience with HMI systems such as FactoryTalk View or Ignition
  • Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP) and process historians
  • Experience with electrical controls design and automation systems
  • Ability to read and develop electrical schematics and process diagrams
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
