Overview
We need an analytical, curious problem solver to become an Automation Engineer on the Automation and AI Team to help drive the biggest change in the company's history.
Operating within the core values and operating principles of the organization, the Automation Engineer is a key part of the IT Application Development team, responsible for the definition and rollout of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) process initiatives. This role will work closely with business stakeholders to design and implement automation solutions using (RPA) technologies to create and optimize workflow processes. The Automation Engineer will identify potential process efficiencies across the organization by process mining, documenting, developing, and testing RPA solutions. Lastly the RPA team will be supporting the business and IT in removing repetitive manual tasks leveraging process automation solutions.

Responsibilities
The Role
  • Demonstrates experience in systems design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies.
  • Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements, workflow and process that will be documented and automated (AS-IS and TO-BE system).
  • Design, develop, and test automation workflows using RPA platform (i.e., UiPath, BluePrism, Power Automate).
  • Establishes the standards (as necessary) and ensures adherence for source code management, deployment, monitoring, and reporting of all automation solutions.
  • Responsible for documentation, training, and rollout of RPA tool(s) across enterprise.
  • Participate in a COE Process team consisting of IT and business SME's.
  • Accountable for producing technical design and process flow documentation and present to both technology and business stakeholders.
  • Lead the end-to-end RPA and workflow automation (document, design, build, test, deploy, maintain) using recommended best.
  • Identify and help measure the value and metrics produced by the automation team and the impact to the business.
  • Excellent communication skills to support detailed process discussions with business teams and the ability to translate into process diagrams.
  • Excellent problem solving/analytical skills and complex troubleshooting methods.
  • Ability to understand what will benefit from automation and what is not a good candidate for automation.
  • Must have strong teamwork orientation and effectively uses interpersonal skills to achieve stronger collaboration within and across teams.
  • Works effectively to achieve organization's success. Willing to engage in areas outside of their typical responsibilities as needed. Ability to handle most challenges with little escalation.
  • Candid, clear and concise in communication. Connects with intended audience. Communicates information to others in a positive and professional manner.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 1-5 years of hands-on experience with automation tooling and RPA platforms such as UiPath, Blue Prism, Power Automate, etc.
  • Overall technology experience with experience in any programming language i.e., C/C++, Python, VB Script, Ruby, Java, JS, .Net.
  • Experience in business analysis, business operations, consulting, or related fields.
  • Experience consuming REST and SOAP APIs.
  • Experience with Databases SQL or NoSQL.
  • Skills in project coordination and agile/scrum methodology.
  • Understanding and working knowledge of business process methodologies (ex: Six Sigma, Lean).

Preferred Experience
  • Insurance or Finance operational background and knowledge.
