SUMMARY:
The Email Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the email marketing strategy to drive engagement, adoption, support business growth, and deliver a best-in-class member experience. This role owns end-to-end member lifecycle strategy across the email channel, including onboarding, engagement, digital service adoption, cross-sell, and retention initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or related field, or a minimum of eight years directly related experience required
  • Minimum five years experience in digital marketing, with a strong focus on email marketing, lifecycle marketing, and content strategy required
  • Experience within a regulated industry (e.g., financial services, insurance) preferred โ€ข Certified Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist preferred
  • Deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, with hands-on proficiency with journey builder, automation studio, and contact builder, as well as audience segmentation, journey builds, and campaign strategy.
  • Understanding of email deliverability and security standards (e.g., SPF, DKIM, DMARC), enabling effective collaboration with Salesforce Marketing Cloud and cybersecurity teams to maintain inbox placement and sender reputation.
  • Proven experience establishing email governance and scalable workflows, with strong knowledge of deliverability, testing methodologies (A/B and multivariate), and performance optimization โ€ข Experience leveraging marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud), GA4, and analytics tools to drive data-informed decision-making
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights and optimization strategies
  • Experience developing segmentation and personalization strategies using behavioral, transactional, and demographic data
  • Familiarity with privacy, compliance, and accessibility standards (e.g., CAN-SPAM, ADA, CCPA, GDPR (optional)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across marketing, product, compliance, IT, and external partners

JOB DUTIES:
  • Email Marketing Management: Own the email channel, including campaign planning, content strategy, execution, and performance. Ensure content quality and alignment with brand and business goals.
  • Lifecycle & Journey Strategy: Own the end-to-end lifecycle strategy, including onboarding, engagement, service adoption, cross-sell, and retention. Design, optimize, and scale automated journeys, including a best-in-class onboarding program.
  • Email Governance & Channel Management: Establish governance standards and manage intake, prioritization, and the campaign calendar to balance business needs with member experience.
  • Segmentation, Personalization & Optimization: Develop segmentation and personalization strategies and lead a structured testing roadmap to continuously improve engagement, deliverability, and conversion.
  • Project Management: Lead email projects from concept through execution, managing timelines, workflows, approvals, and stakeholder communication.
  • Email Development Collaboration: Define campaign requirements, audience strategy, and content direction. Partner with Salesforce Marketing Cloud teams on build and deployment and enhance automation and personalization capabilities.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Own performance reporting across key KPIs, delivering insights and recommendations to improve campaign and journey effectiveness.
  • Compliance & Accessibility: Ensure all communications meet regulatory, compliance, and accessibility standards.
  • Digital Innovation & Channel Evolution: Identify opportunities to innovate and support the expansion of lifecycle marketing into additional channels (e.g., SMS, push).
  • Performs other duties as assigned

The good faith range for this position is $93,000 to $116,000 annually. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
