Your core responsibility is the mechanical design and innovation of components and new products tailored to meet evolving customer and market requirements. You will be reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, working within a dynamic, collaborative team environment.
Your key duties will include:
  • Designing specialized equipment and systems tailored to unique customer specifications, providing all necessary calculations and collaborating with external vendors or third-party experts to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Producing detailed layouts, specifications, and design documentation for new product initiatives, as well as modifications of existing designs, ensuring alignment with strategic goals approved by senior management.
  • Developing comprehensive Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) based on client specifications and integrating these into product layouts and Bills of Materials (BOM) for manufacturing and quality assurance.
  • Utilizing advanced Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools including AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor to create and iterate on mechanical components and assemblies, ensuring precision and manufacturability.
  • Managing the full lifecycle of engineering change processes including creation, review, and implementation of Design Notifications and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) to maintain product integrity and compliance.
  • Maintaining and organizing comprehensive engineering documentation to ensure transparency, traceability, and accessibility for cross-functional teams and audits.
  • Ensuring all designed products comply with applicable local, national, and industry safety codes and standards, while meeting the company's quality, economic, performance, and safety benchmarks.
  • Engaging actively in prototyping phases, testing protocols, and production line setup to validate designs and facilitate smooth transitions to manufacturing.
  • Preparing and communicating clear Bills of Materials (BOM) and detailed specifications to support purchasing and supply chain teams, securing appropriate raw materials and components.
  • Delivering ongoing technical support to assembly, production, and quality control teams, helping troubleshoot issues and improving manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborating closely with shop floor personnel to verify that final products meet design criteria and customer expectations.
