Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a CADD Draftsman (Sheet Metal) to support sheet metal design and fabrication operations. This role will be responsible for creating accurate submittal drawings and fabrication drawings, interpreting blueprints, and developing detailed 3D modeling program using Autodesk Inventor. The ideal candidate will have experience with sheet metal drafting, fabrication drawings, and translating design concepts into production-ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed CADD drawings, including submittal drawings and fabrication drawings for sheet metal projects.

  • Develop and modify 3D models using Autodesk Inventor.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.

  • Convert design concepts and requirements into accurate production drawings.

  • Prepare drawings with proper dimensions, tolerances, materials, and fabrication details.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure drawings meet project and manufacturing requirements.

  • Make drawing revisions based on project updates and feedback.

  • Ensure drawings are accurate and suitable for fabrication and installation.

Required Qualifications
  • Experience as a CADD Draftsman, CAD Designer, Mechanical Drafter, or Sheet Metal Drafter.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

  • Experience creating fabrication drawings for sheet metal, manufacturing, or related industries.

  • Proficiency with 3D modeling software, preferably Autodesk Inventor.

  • Strong understanding of drafting standards, dimensions, tolerances, and fabrication processes.
