Job Opening: CAD Designer

Job Description

Performance Pulsation Control, a leader in the development and manufacture of advanced pulsation products, is seeking a talented and experienced CAD Designer to join our dedicated team. This is a Full-Time position based in our office, emphasizing that it is not a remote job opportunity. As a CAD Designer, you will be integral in transforming engineering concepts into detailed and precise digital designs. Your expertise will help us continue to deliver products that meet high standards of functionality and manufacturability.

The successful candidate will work closely with our engineers and production teams, ensuring that all designs meet both technical specifications and operational requirements. This role is crucial in maintaining our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to our customers, requiring a keen eye for detail and outstanding technical skills.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create detailed technical drawings and 3D models for the development and manufacture of pulsation products.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and production departments to translate engineering concepts into functional digital designs.
  • Ensure all CAD drawings and models meet the necessary specifications and quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and version control for all drawings and models.
  • Assist in the research and implementation of new CAD technologies to enhance design efficiency and output.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics from other departments and external suppliers.
  • Provide technical support to the production team during the assembly phase.
  • Participate in project meetings, offering insights and feedback from a design perspective.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices and standards within the company.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Expert proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) and Autodesk Inventor (3D), Vault Professional and Vault Collaboration.
  • Ability to create a full Bill of Material (BOM) using traditional waterfall techniques to include sub-assemblies.
  • Knowledge of fabrication principles and processes including substantial metal fabrication and weldments.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing methods, especially in a custom, built to order environment.
  • Experience with design automation, parametric modeling, or CAD customization (e.g., iLogic, macros, scripting, or template standardization) - a plus.
  • Knowledge and understanding of drawing formats and preparations using ASME pressure vessel standards – a plus.
  • Experience working with machining tolerances – a plus.
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001:2015 environment - a plus.
  • Associate’s degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school – a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language.
