Job Description
Mechanical Engineer Designer Candidate Requirements
·        Education Requirement:
o        Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
o        EIT Preferred, not required‐Candidate would need to be working toward obtaining Professional License.
·        Required Experience:
o        5+ years of relevant experience in HVAC and plumbing design of commercial buildings.
o        Experience working remotely
·        Design Experience Required:
o        Proficient in Autodesk Revit software using both 2D and 3D design.
o        Proficient in use of AutoCAD software.
o        Perform HVAC load calculations using either Elite or Trane Trace software. o Able to work in a team setting and offer guidance to mechanical designers. o Able to manage mechanical and plumbing design projects and skill in
writing specifications using Master Spec for small to medium size projects with minimal direction.
o        Answer RFIs and review contractor submittals
o        Capability to perform construction site visits as needed for site walk throughs and punch lists
o        Proficient in Direct Expansion (DX) and Chilled Water HVAC system design
o        Proficient in plumbing load calculations, pump sizing, pipe sizing, and hot water loop design.
o        Proficient in adherence to ASHRAE 62.1, ASHRAE 90.1, IMC 2021, UMC 2021, IPC 2021, and UPC 2021 Codes during design
·        Design Experience Desired:
o        May be required to represent company in design meetings with Architect, Engineers, and Contractors.
