Job description

EBA Engineering, Inc. (EBA) is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Document Control (Bluebeam Specialist) to support project teams by managing and maintaining construction documentation throughout the project lifecycle. This individual will play an important role in supporting project delivery by managing document workflows, maintaining document integrity, and leveraging Bluebeam Revu to facilitate collaboration across project teams.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage the receipt, distribution, tracking, storage, and retrieval of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, addenda, ASIs, and closeout documentation.
  • Lead and optimize Bluebeam Revu workflows, including Studio Sessions, markup management, version comparison, document reviews, and collaborative review processes.
  • Create, maintain, and update Bluebeam tool sets, profiles, templates, and standards to support consistency across project teams.
  • Perform quality control reviews to ensure proper file naming conventions, metadata accuracy, version control, and revision tracking.
  • Coordinate document distribution and communication among project managers, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, architects, owners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Track and expedite document-related workflows, including RFIs, submittals, drawing reviews, and approvals.
  • Maintain document logs, transmittals, audit trails, and records to support project reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Support project teams with document management system administration and troubleshooting.
  • Train and support staff in the effective use of Bluebeam Revu and other document management platforms.
  • Assist with project closeout activities, including compiling as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and turnover packages.
  • Foster productive working relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and project partners.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Business Administration, Information Management, or a related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in construction document control, project administration, project coordination, or a related role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu, including Studio Sessions, markup tools, batch processing, document comparison, and workflow configuration.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, terminology, and project delivery processes.
  • Experience with document management systems and electronic document control procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with diverse project stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple assignments, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience working on large-scale transportation, infrastructure, commercial, industrial, or public-sector construction projects.
  • Familiarity with construction workflows, including submittal review cycles, RFI management, drawing lifecycle management, and project closeout procedures.
  • Experience with additional document management platforms such as Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, SharePoint, ProjectWise, or similar systems.
  • Bluebeam Certified User (BCU), Bluebeam Certified Professional, or other Bluebeam certifications.
  • Experience supporting digital transformation initiatives and process improvement efforts within the construction industry.
