Job description

HARCUM COLLEGE in Bryn Mawr, PA, a leader among the nation’s independent associate
degree colleges, is currently seeking adjunct instructors for the Spring 2026 semester.
The Interior Design Department of Harcum College is seeking PART-TIME (adjunct)
INSTRUCTORS for AutoCAD with an emphasis on the Interior Design Industry, to join our team
starting in January 2026.
HARCUM COLLEGE provides its students with an opportunity for outstanding academic,
career, and life preparation. We teach, mentor, and prepare students for success in their chosen
profession in an experiential environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The class is an intro level AutoCAD course with an emphasis on layer management,
construction documentation, furniture, fixture, and equipment (FF&E) schedules, lighting plans &
millwork details,
This class meets 2x/ week in person on campus in Bryn Mawr on Tuesdays & Thursdays.
The instructor will use a pre-planned 15-week course shell. The instructor will evaluate student
performance through class work, individual progress, projects, assignments, and exams,
ensuring mastery of technical skills and proper design application.
Instructor will grade student work, provide detailed and timely feedback to students, connect
students to appropriate resources, and maintain accurate records of student progress.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Prior college-level teaching experience (full-time or adjunct) in AutoCAD is highly desirable but
not required.
Proficient use of AutoCAD 2021 or later is required. Familiarity with other relevant software
(e.g., SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) is a strong plus.
