Your Purpose as a Sales Director:

Responsible for leading Sales Managers and Product Specialists to ensure that all sales processes and guest interactions are executed with excellence and a passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience. This role also focuses on developing and growing internal talent within the Sales Department to build a strong and future-ready leadership team.


In Your Role As Sales Director:

  • Lead, coach, and mentor Sales Managers and Product Specialists to strengthen leadership, decision-making, and operational effectiveness.
  • Create individualized development plans to prepare Sales Managers and Product Specialists for career growth.
  • Provide regular performance feedback and conduct one-on-one coaching sessions focused on leadership growth.
  • Model a positive, accountable, and guest-first culture that inspires the entire sales team.
  • Identify skill gaps and provide targeted coaching in areas such as team motivation, process management, and guest engagement.
  • Conduct workshops and role-play sessions to enhance sales leadership, deal structure knowledge, and team coaching abilities.
  • Promote continuous learning by encouraging participation in internal and external leadership development opportunities.
  • Oversee daily sales operations through Sales Managers, ensuring consistency and adherence to dealership standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and guide Sales Managers and Product Specialists to improve results.
  • Support Sales Managers and Product Specialists in managing guest satisfaction, lead response times, and overall process compliance.
  • Ensure smooth collaboration between all departments to create a cohesive sales experience.
  • Partner with the General Manager to set short- and long-term sales goals and align them with dealership objectives.
  • Develop and communicate sales strategies that foster growth, retention, and profitability.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating professional conduct, ethical standards, and a focus on team development over individual recognition.
  • Identify high-potential leaders within the sales department and provide growth opportunities.
  • Build a strong leadership pipeline by preparing Sales Managers and Product Specialists for future growth.
  • Assist in recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing evaluation of Sales Managers and Product Specialists to ensure cultural and performance fit.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where ideas are shared and best practices are implemented.
  • Recognize and celebrate team and individual successes to maintain engagement and morale.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license to operate a motor vehicle

Additional Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership experience with ability to elevate employees for future roles.
  • Strong knowledge of dealership operations, inventory management, and finance processes.
  • Proficiency with CRM and DMS systems (e.g., Route One, Dealertrack, Tekion, Reynolds, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple teams simultaneously.
