Casey Auto Group is seeking a B-Level Auto Body Technician for our Collision Center in Newport News!
Are you an experienced Auto Body Technician looking for a career that offers both stability and appreciation?
Casey Collision Center, a family-owned and operated business for over 60 years, is growing, and we are looking for a skilled professional to join our team!
Essential Duties:
As an Auto Body Technician, your role is crucial in restoring vehicles to their condition prior to collision. Your objective is to ensure that all vehicles are repaired properly, safely, and timely, the first time.
Core Responsibilities and Expertise:
  • Repair collision damage to vehicles according to I-CAR standards.
  • Insure repairs are completed in the quickest, safest, and most skillful manner possible.
  • Correct the damage efficiently to maintain long term durability, proper handling, and restore the appearance of the vehicle.
  • Ensure all repairs meet the highest quality standards.
  • Essential Duties include: ability to read/write collision repair estimates; proper identification of vehicle parts and blueprint repair during tear down; repair and replacement of vehicle body parts; proper use of safety equipment; understanding of design and construction of vehicles (including full frame); knowledge of liability issues; measuring and straightening principles using computerized systems; knowledge of replacement vs. repair; understanding of MSDS sheets; knowledge of adhesive bonding and resistance spot welding; and the ability to weld and cut steel.

Job Qualifications:
  • Certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must maintain level of expertise through continuing education.
  • I-CAR certification is a plus.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record are required.
