Job description

The Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Unit is a specialized inpatient unit for the psychiatric evaluation, stabilization, and treatment of adults with co-occurring developmental and psychiatric disorders. This is a 6-bed unit that offers a behavioral approach to care for these dually diagnosed adults.

This is a full-time, 36 hours/week position that requires availability to work 12 hour shifts (7pm-7am) and every other weekend. 

As a Mental Health Worker you will: 

  • Participate in the planning and evaluation of patient needs based on patient behaviors.
  • Provide direct patient care services in accordance with the treatment plan and under the direction of a professional nurse.
  • Assist in providing a safe and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • HS Diploma/GED.  Human Services related degree or past direct care, or related experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be available to work 36 hours per week and every other weekend.
  • All new clinical staff will begin their extended clinical orientation/training immediately following your first day of employment. 

The pay range for this position is $19.36 minimum to $28.70 maximum. Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.
