Job description

Autism Direct Support

Responsibilities of Autism Support Staff:

  • Assist client in activities of daily living and personal hygiene, communication and socialization

  • Help client manage his own behavior and teach him appropriate alternative behaviors

  • Facilitate integration and participation on community outings

  • Keep accurate time sheet logs and adhering to a person-centered notes

Eligibility Requirements of Autism Support Staff:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • additional certifications in CPR, First Aid and medication administration, PMT

  • direct support certified,

  • Minimum 6 months direct autism experience

  • Must have personal transportation

  • Must pass state and federal background check

  • Bilingual preferred
