Job description

Amentum is seeking a Special Projects Manager in West Palm Beach, Florida to work as part of a close-knit team, as well as independently, to accomplish a range of functions as you support AUTEC. The Special Projects Manager will operate in a matrixed structure, coordinating and reporting to multiple managers in order to manage personnel security clearances, coordinate overseas deployments (OCONUS), and maintain strict document control for work produced under the AUTEC contract. This role includes overseeing training initiatives and managing the work of an administrative assistant to ensure smooth daily facility operations. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance. Key Responsibilities: The following will be the primary responsibilities of this position. Secondary or related roles and responsibilities could be assigned as needed. * Personnel Security * Perform all facets of the Personnel Security Program, providing guidance and processing for Secret clearances and eligibility. This includes, but not limited to, pre-screening background investigative support services for Tier 1 through Tier 5 investigations, conducting security briefings, obtaining non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and managing other personnel security actions. * Provide comprehensive program security support for program managers and other personnel, offering classification guidance, managing incoming and outgoing visit certifications, facilitating foreign travel reporting, and assisting with proposal development. * Other security duties as assigned by the FSO. * OCONUS Deployment * Assist new employees with OCONUS travel, book domestic and international travel arrangements as needed and perform travel expense reconciliations and understand all deployment requirements for workforce and assist them with transition to/from OCONUS location. * Act as point-of-contact for travel arrangements/expense reports for mass evacuations due to hurricane or other events. * Other deployment/travel duties as assigned by HR. * Operations Support * Assist with formatting, tracking, logging, and controlling all standard operating procedures (SOPs/SPs) produced under the contract. * Other related program support as assigned by the Enterprise Ops Manager. Required Qualifications: * Current or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance * Bachelor's degree in related discipline or field OR 10 years related experience. * Knowledge of Federal personnel security principles, concepts, and methodologies. * Knowledge of Federal Travel Regulations and agency travel systems. * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Visio. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience supporting DoD Personnel Security functions, CAC issuance, DD254s, and related matters. * Knowledge of Federal personnel security principles, concepts, and methodologies. * Possession of excellent problem-solving, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
