The Quality Assurance Specialist supports NAIT's quality framework by designing, implementing, and maintaining the structures, tools, and engagement mechanisms that enable highquality, evidenceinformed academic processes such as program review, shareholder engagement, students success, etc. This role bridges internal qualityassurance processes with external partners insights, ensuring program reviews are consistent, compliant, and meaningfully informed by students, alumni, and industry partners. The Specialist develops standardized review tools, manages structured feedback loops, and translates qualitative and quantitative data into actionable recommendations that support continuous program improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain standardized tools, templates, and guidance materials that support consistent programreview practices across Schools.
Coordinate and implement engagement activities with students, alumni, and industry partners to gather meaningful feedback for program reviews.
Provide guidance and support to Schools in applying review processes, interpreting requirements, and using evidence effectively.
Maintain documentation, workflows, and tracking systems that ensure reviews are completed accurately and on schedule.
Prepare summaries, reports, and recommendations that inform program improvements and institutional qualityassurance processes.
Identify process gaps or risks and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency, clarity, and compliance.
Collaborate with internal partners to ensure alignment and data accuracy.
Escalate risks, ethical breaches, and other concerns
Skills and Abilities:
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data.
Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including the ability to engage diverse groups.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and timelines.
Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.
Proficiency in developing tools, templates, and structured processes.
Strong problemsolving abilities and sound judgment in applying qualityassurance principles.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across academic and administrative units.
Comfort working with ambiguity and adapting processes to meet evolving needs.
Qualifications
Diploma in a related field is required. Master's degree in education, social sciences, business, or a related field is preferred; preference for education that included significant analytical and system design theory and practice.
3-5 years of experience in areas such as academic administration, quality assurance, process design, shareholder engagement, research and evaluation, or community relations. These backgrounds provide a strong foundation for supporting program review, methodological design, and multi-group engagement.
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services (WES), International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS) or the Comparative Education Services (CES).
