Weekend Part-Time Nanny Westlake Hills, (78746)
A loving family in Westlake Hills is seeking an experienced and engaging Weekend Nanny to care for their 3.5-year-old child and newborn beginning in August 2026. The family is looking for a professional nanny who is passionate about child development, enjoys creating enriching experiences for children, and can confidently care for both a toddler and infant.
This role will primarily focus on the toddler during the first part of the day, with support for both children in the afternoons.
Nanny must be bilingual (English and Spanish)
Start Date: August 2026
Schedule:
* Saturday & Sunday
* 9:00 AM 5:00 PM
* 16 hours per week
Compensation:
* $35 per hour
Morning Responsibilities:
* Primarily care for the family's 3.5-year-old child
* Transport the toddler to scheduled activities such as Spanish music class and swimming lessons
* Engage in age-appropriate play, learning activities, and outdoor adventures
* Prepare lunch at home or take the toddler out for lunch
* Assist with nap time and quiet-time routines
Afternoon Responsibilities:
* Provide care for both children as needed
* Take the children for walks, visits to the park, and outdoor activities
* Engage the children in play in the backyard and playroom
* Support a positive, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment
*The family will provide a car seat for the toddler to be used in the nanny's vehicle.*
Ideal Candidate:
* Prior newborn and infant care experience required
* Prior toddler and preschool-age experience required
* Patient, communicative, organized, and flexible
* Views childcare, child development, and nutrition as a long-term career
* Proactive in suggesting developmental activities, educational opportunities, toys, books, and nutritional ideas
* Knowledgeable about developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities
* Committed to ongoing learning and professional growth in early childhood development
* Experience in early childhood development is preferred
* Bilingual in Spanish and English is highly preferred
Requirements:
* Nanny must be bilingual (English and Spanish) REQUIRED
* Infant and Child CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start date)
* Valid driver's license and clean driving record
* Comfortable transporting children in a vehicle
* Confident swimmer, as the family has a pool
* Non-smoker
* Comfortable around cats
