Job description

Reporting to the VP Entertainment & Event Center Operations, the Manager, VIBE, holds responsibility for the implementation and execution of the VIBE program within the Entertainment Department. Ensures that lights, sounds, video, scents, are continuously functioning in conjunction with the strategic initiatives of Yaamava' Resort & Casino. Oversees the training and ongoing support for the management of VIBE initiatives while providing encouragement, setting high expectations, and demonstrating positive examples as necessary to ensure a fun, exciting and professional working environment for our team members and a pleasant and entertaining experience for our guests. Supports the property in all aspects of atmospheric experiences and culture while creating an exceptional climate of guest-oriented service, implementing brand amenity programs, and ensuring effective utilization of music across the property.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manages day-to-day operations and first-line maintenance of RX Music, lighting, and activation programming systems. Supports by executing music playlists, video content, and lighting systems in alignment with property branding and guest expectations.
2. Directs the project management and strategic visioning for all VIBE A/V projects across the entirety of Yaamava' Resort and Casino. Serves as project manager for all site audio/visual projects while collaborating with key stakeholders to plan, implement and complete all events in a timely manner and within the appropriate budget. Supports the strategic direction of the Entertainment department, including operating procedures, structure and efficiency in order to provide maximum value to Yaamava' Resort and Casino.
3. Holds responsibility for the financial accounting and reconciliation process for all VIBE A/V related projects. Oversees the budget process and vendor bid process to ensure competitive pricing on all VIBE technology and equipment. Manages the installation, troubleshooting and programming of A/V systems throughout the Casino.
4. Ensures operational areas meet or exceed brand standards by monitoring the performance and maintenance of VIBE initiatives, responding to guest feedback, and adjusting systems as necessary.
5. Serves as a liaison between the Senior Manager and VIBE team for reporting updates, resolving escalated issues, and ensuring alignment with department goals.
6. Ensures brand and business initiatives are implemented. Maintains confidentiality of guest, employee, and company information to support the integrity of the Yaamava' brand.
7. Performs other duties as assigned to support the e?cient operation of the department.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning reviewing and directing work; evaluating and appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Makes hiring decisions and designs individual development plans with succession planning in mind for all key roles.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Entertainment, Engineering, Music Theory or related field required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in the customer service, music and/or entertainment industry is required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of experience in a related field, including audio/visual systems, lighting, or entertainment programming preferred.
  • Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
  • Related, relevant, and/or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements indicated above.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSA)
  • Must possess strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Experience managing small to large audio-visual projects within a hotel, event center, convention hall, or casino environment strongly preferred.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Advanced technical aptitude in audio visual technology, computers and networking.
  • Requires comprehensive knowledge of network hardware and software.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to ensure that a non-technical end user and/or senior executive can understand.
  • Must possess intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Power Point.
  • Must possess the ability to resolve conflicts in a customer focused, professional manner.
  • Must be capable of multitasking in a high-volume setting; flexible, agile, and fast learner.
  • Prior experience with RX Music Platform
  • Prior experience designing or commissioning large entertainment facility.
  • Must possess a comprehensive understanding of entertainment technology: audio / video / lighting
  • Prior experience within the gaming industry strongly preferred.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS
  • At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.
  • Authorized Driver: Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS - ENVIRONMENT
