The Apple Media Graphics Compute Technologies (MGCT) group is at the center of audio, video, and graphics in Apple’s innovative products, including the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, Apple TV and Vision Pro. MGCTs Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Spatial Audio, Siri, FaceTime, Audio for Games, media capture, playback and API’s for third party developers to enrich our platforms. The team is looking for talented engineers who are passionate about championing the performance and user experience of audio feature and products used by millions of customers.

Description

The Audio DSP Software team is responsible for hosting Apple’s audio algorithms across iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS and visionOS. As a member of the Audio DSP Software team, you will help solve problems, help build out new features and capabilities, help productize and integrate our advanced audio algorithms, and provide developer-facing APIs for audio applications. You must be a self-starter with excellent communication skills, attention to detail and a knack for solving problems creatively. The fast-paced nature of the job requires that you be able to work well under pressure. We are seeking someone who is passionate about audio and is interested in improving the quality of audio experience for our customers and our developers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive experience in modern C++
  • Knowledge in signal processing principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Swift or Objective-C
  • Experience in developing realtime or performance-critical applications
  • Experience in audio technologies

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
