Job description


This position will be responsible for the designs and deployment of IP Network CCTV camera systems, campus cable television, Broadcast Network Systems and Audio Visual systems. Operates independently for all sizes of systems. Leads and directs teams for large-scale projects, new implementations, upgrades, etc.
Responsibilities
Design
  • Analyze current design and provide solutions to problems for audio visual, security cameras, and CATV systems
  • Conduct design meetings with Architects, designers and departments on campus
  • Design of security camera projects for campus customers
  • Research and evaluates AV technologies, including IP CCTV cameras/servers, CATV and broadcast television equipment, to ensure optimal performance, compatibility, and reliability.
  • Design, develop, implement and coordinate audio visual and broadcast systems
  • Coordinates with Audio Visual team to provide support and scheduling
  • Collaborate in planning, research, & installation of future systems

Project Management
  • Plan and work with departmental Coordinators to oversee large scale projects, building moves and new construction
  • Participate in large project meetings with Facilities Services, Facilities Planning, and outside contractors
  • Ability to read and scan blueprints
  • Support IT Engineering staff to ensure work is completed in timely manner

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience:
  • Associates degree in Electronics, Engineering, Broadcast Television, or IT related field with a Minimum of 8 years' experience in designing and implementing, CCTV Systems and CATV systems, broadcast audio video production equipment, CCTV Systems and CATV systems.
  • Or 12 years in designing and implementing CCTV Systems and CATV systems, broadcast audio video production equipment, CCTV Systems and CATV systems.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of IP CCTV Surveillance Systems, CATV Headend and Distribution System, and Enterprise broadcast television systems.
  • Knowledge of Local Area Networks, and Wide Area networks.
  • Strong communication skills, analytical skills, technology skills, managing priorities/deadline skills, problem-solving skills, adaptability skills, planning skills, organizing skills, interpersonal skills, motivations skills, multicultural sensitivity skills, mentoring skills, team building skills and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering, Broadcast Television, or IT related field

Experience:
  • Experience in broadcast studio operations and event management expertise with regards to television broadcasting

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of studio production equipment.
  • The ability to design and maintain studio quality broadcast equipment.

Compensation and Benefits
  • UT market range: MR16
  • Anticipated hiring range: $95,000 to $102,000
