Job description

AV Technician
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina
Pay Range: $28-$33/ hour
Duration: 4-month contract to hire
Role Overview:
This role is responsible for installing, modifying, repairing, and maintaining AV integrated systems-including audio, video, and control equipment. The Level III Tech will also manage field operations for assigned projects, including oversight of Level I and II techs.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Install, terminate, and test low-voltage and fiber optic cabling
  • Route cabling through conduits and ceilings as per job specs
  • Read technical schematics and manuals
  • Build and test AV equipment racks
  • Ensure all project tools, hardware, and materials are available
  • Label cables properly and make red-line changes when needed
  • Handle DSP changes and control code loads
  • Maintain high quality and safety standards
  • Submit paperwork and weekly status reports on time
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Physical & Work Environment Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work in non-climate-controlled or construction environments
  • Regular climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling required
  • Ability to use hand tools and coordinate physical movements over long periods
