Overview

Under the general direction of the Audio/Visual Manager, the Audio/Visual Technician is responsible for repairs, maintenance, fabrication, and installation of the audio/visual (A/V) equipment and operating/control systems of Chumash Enterprises.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoots and resolves A/V hardware and software upgrades, operates equipment for live events, and completes assigned internal work orders for the Chumash Enterprise.
  • Performs technical repair and maintenance of audio-visual equipment.
  • Executes and follows a plan of preventative maintenance to identify potential equipment problems and adjusts or repairs before serious equipment damage results.
  • Maintains an inventory of replacement parts and supplies to ensure necessary parts and supplies are available when needed.
  • Fabricates and installs audio-visual equipment and systems to provide users with desired audio-visual services.
  • Provides audio-visual and technical assistance to provide all users with services.
  • Operates sound, video, or recording equipment for live events and functions.
  • Works with various departments (Information Technologies, Marketing) to create and maintain digital signage and advertising displays.
  • Upholds a work environment that promotes teamwork, partnership, recognition, mutual respect, and collaboration while role modeling the company values, behaviors, and culture of One.Team.Chumash.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED Certificate.
  • Associate's Degree or certification from a technical institute in A/V or equivalent work experience.
  • Two years' work experience in an A/V position.
  • AVIXA CTS Certification preferred.
  • QSC Q-Sys Certification preferred.
  • Experience with Q-Sys Designer, Dante Audio Networking, and ETC Mosaic software preferred.
  • Understanding of audio & video signal path.
  • Experience in long cable runs and best practices.
  • Terminating cable (RJ6, RJ11, RJ45).
  • Proficient with power tools (Drills, saws, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cable TV basics (Scanning, tuning, RF distribution).
  • Experience with hotel in-room entertainment systems preferred.
  • Experience with audio/video control software preferred.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules in a 24/7 work environment.
  • Intermediate computer proficiency utilizing Microsoft applications, email, and internet.
  • Current CA driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Wireless radio frequency management experience preferred.
  • Boom/Scissor lift certification or ability to obtain is preferred.
  • Must apply for, receive, and maintain a Gaming License from the Tribal Gaming Agency.
  • Native American hiring preference applies.
