How You’ll Contribute:

The General Contractor Partner Manager is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding relationships with general contractors, construction firms, developers, and project stakeholders to drive successful installation and integration of audiovisual (AV), media, and technology solutions. This role serves as the primary liaison between the AV company and construction partners.

The ideal candidate combines strong relationship management skills with a working knowledge of construction processes, AV systems, and commercial project delivery.

What You’ll Do:

Partner Relationship Management

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with general contractors, construction managers, developers, architects, and consultants.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with key contractor partners.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen partnerships and increase project pipeline.
  • In collaboration with legal services, negotiate Master Service Agreements and ensure compliance with terms, conditions and contract requirements.

Business Development

  • Generate new project opportunities through contractor relationships.
  • Position the company as the preferred AV and media technology partner on construction projects.
  • Attend industry networking events, contractor meetings, and trade associations.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to identify and pursue upcoming projects.

Operational Excellence

  • Track contractor partner performance metrics.
  • Maintain accurate CRM and project pipeline records.
  • Develop best practices for contractor engagement and project handoff processes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across project delivery functions.

What You’ll Bring:

Education/ Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, Communications Technology, or related field preferred.

Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in AV integration, construction project management, channel partnerships, or contractor relationship management.
  • Strong understanding of commercial construction processes and project lifecycles.
  • Experience working with:
    • Corporate AV systems
    • Unified communications platforms
    • Digital signage
    • Broadcast/media systems
    • Structured cabling infrastructure
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial AV integrators.
  • Familiarity with design-build and bid-spec construction environments.
  • Knowledge of:
