Job description

Summary The MIL Corporation seeks a CCoE Telecommunications Engineering Technician III (Telecommunications Engineering Tech, III) to support a Federal Government client at our Ft. Gordon, Georgia location. The Telecommunications Tech will provide on-site support of Information Technology (IT) and Audio-Visual (A/V) installations within the CCoE Transformation program at Ft. Gordon, Georgia. This position currently requires an onsite schedule. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities * Builds AV racks based of drawings provided by the engineering team * Leads on site integration and installation * Labels communications infrastructure including cable, panels, patch cords and electronics * Installation and mounting of equipment, such as monitors, speakers, and microphones, to ceilings and walls in secure spaces * Fabrication, termination, and installation of AV cabling * Testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of various AV systems * Troubleshooting and diagnosing existing AV systems * Performs inventory management and record configuration information on installed equipment and software modules Travel As experience gained and ability is demonstrated, travel will be expected to support on-site installations. Candidates must be willing to travel to CONUS, and OCONUS sites up to three weeks at a time. Total travel is approximately 50-75%. Required Qualifications * 6+ years of experience performing testing and/or integration of audio visual (A/V) equipment * Ability to follow basic flow diagrams * Ability to work in a team environment * Good verbal and written communications abilities * Experience using MS Office products * Must be able to lift items up to National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) limits * Must be able to stand, kneel and/or crouch for extended periods of time * Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolding * Must be able to work in high places, as well as small, cramped, or confined spaces * Must maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record * Must maintain a valid passport Desired Qualifications * J-STD Certification(s) * Experience with testing fiber and/or copper * AV certifications a plus Education A high school diploma or GED Clearance All applicants for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI clearance. Please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects. Compensation The SCA (Service Contract Act) role at The MIL Corporation is subject to the regulations and guidelines set forth by the U.S. Department of Labor.
