Audio Visual Attendant

POSITION SUMMARY

The Audio Visual Technician will set up, or set up and operate audio and video equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards, and related electronic equipment for meetings and conventions, presentations, and weddings. The Audio Visual Technician may also set up and operate associated spotlights and other custom lighting systems. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Set up, adjust, and operate audiovisual equipment such as cameras, projectors, computers, and recording equipment, for meetings, events, classes, seminars and video conferences. 

Maintain hardware and software, including projectors, computers, scanners, color copiers, and color laser printers. 

Install, configure, and operate a broad range of multimedia, AV, and video conferencing equipment including: projectors, analog and digital cameras, microphone and sound systems, video conferencing codecs, video recording and editing systems. 

Instruct users in the selection, use, and design of audiovisual materials, and assist them in the preparation of instructional materials and the rehearsal of presentations. 

Perform simple maintenance tasks such as cleaning monitors and lenses and changing batteries and light bulbs. 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
  • 3 plus years of experience in Audio Visual environment
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge is required
