Description
Kidwell is seeking motivated individuals to join our team for traveling mission critical (Data Center) projects nationwide. Candidates may be hired into one of two career paths based on experience and licensing: Apprentice Electrician or Low Voltage Installer.
As an Apprentice Electrician, you will work under the supervision of Journeyman Electricians to assist with installing and maintaining electrical systems, including conduit bending, wire pulls, fixture installation, metering, and basic troubleshooting.
As a Low Voltage Installer, you will assist with installing, terminating, and testing structured cabling systems (Cat5, Cat6, Cat6a), installing cable trays and racks, and supporting low voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, nurse call, and audio-visual systems.
Both roles support mission critical data center environments and require travel based on project needs. This position is open to both experienced individuals and those new to the trade, with development opportunities available. Candidates must be team-oriented, detail-driven, safety-focused, and willing to work overtime, including weekends as required.

What You'll Do-
Depending on whether you are hired as an Apprentice Electrician or Low Voltage Installer, your responsibilities may include:
  • Assist with installing and maintaining electrical systems, including conduit bending, cable pulling, fixture installation, and basic troubleshooting
  • Installing, terminating, and testing Cat5, Cat6, and Cat6a cabling
  • Installing cable trays, racks, and support structures
  • Supporting low voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, nurse call, and audio-visual
  • Traveling nationwide to support mission critical data center projects
  • Following all safety standards and working overtime as required

Do You Have What it Takes?
  • Candidates should be team-oriented with a strong work ethic and meticulous attention to detail
  • Candidates must demonstrate effective leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Candidates preferably will possess an Associate's Degree from a qualified Electrical or similar Technology program, or have a minimum of some experience in the field
  • Ability to pass physical exams, drug screening, and background check
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license
  • Candidates must possess a current State of Nebraska Electrical License or apply for one upon employment
